Terms and Conditions

Quotations, rates and charges
All prices are in GBP and are exclusive of the current VAT rate.
All quotations are estimated journey charges, and are valid for 30 days. They do not include waiting time, parking, tolls or telephone charges. Gratuities are at the customer’s discretion. Our Airport set rates include a 60 minutes waiting time (private Jet include a 30 minutes waiting time) at the airport from the time the plane has landed. Waiting time charges will be incurred after the 60 minutes (30 minutes for private Jets and any other transfers 15 minutes) has elapsed and be charged per 30 minutes at the hourly rate charged at £20 per hour. Incurred car parking fees will be charged at cost. All hire charges are rounded up to the nearest 30 minutes. Final journey charges will be calculated according to the actual route taken by the chauffeur and any other relevant factors. The chauffeur will take the most optimal route, unless the client gives specific instructions or prevailing traffic conditions dictate.

It is the passenger’s responsibility to request the relevant sized vehicle or to make the number of passengers and luggage known to AJLX Travel at the time of booking.
Luggage is not permitted in the passenger area of any vehicle. AJLX Travel reserves the right to refuse the transfer if excess luggage is present and charge as a COA at the tariff base rate.

Charges apply for customer no shows (NS), cancellations (CA) and cancellation on arrival (COA) at the tariff rate, based on the service booked. The cancellation notice periods are as follows:

  • Executive vehicles (E Class) and MPVs (Viano): at least a period of 2 hours.
  • Premium vehicles (S Class, BMW 7 series): at least a period of 2 hours. Outside of these notice periods no charge.

If you cannot locate your chauffeur and you seek an alternative method of transport without first contacting AJLX Travel to try and resolve the situation, you will be charged the full tariff rate based on the service booked.

Surcharges will apply on Bank Holidays as follows: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve from 18:00 onwards, including New Year’s Day: 100%. All other Bank Holidays: 50%.

In the event that the interior or exterior of the vehicle is soiled or damaged by the customer, a valeting/repair charge will apply. AJLX Travel maintains a no smoking policy in all of its vehicles.

Payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date. AJLX Travel reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at the base rate of interest plus 5%.
AJLX Travel accepts most credit cards as a means of payment but a surcharge of 4% will be levied to cover the costs of credit card processing.

AJLX Travel accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to property. In the event of property being left in a vehicle, we will gladly organise the return of such items. This may be subject to a charge at tariff rate, subject to our discretion.
AJLX Travel are under no liability to the customer for any indirect loss and/or expense (including loss of profit) suffered by the customer arising out of a breach by the company of these terms and conditions.
In the event of any claim against AJLX Travel arising out of its hire performance, the company’s liability shall be limited to a refund not exceeding the cost of the journey. Any other payments will be entirely at the discretion of the company.

AJLX Travel reserves the right to enlist the services of carefully selected affiliates to provide the service on our behalf during busy periods, but shall remain responsible for the overall service delivery.

Applicable Conditions
These terms and conditions are governed by, and are subject to, the laws of England and Wales and AJLX Travel and the customer submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All bookings made, shall be deemed to be a confirmation by the customer in accepting these terms and conditions and shall supersede any other terms and conditions from the customer. Any amendments to these terms and conditions must be agreed in writing by both parties.
